one aspect of the influence of the introns on the dna is: the larger the chromosomes with introns the less likely the the genes will have mutations; vs bacterial dna, where most of the genome are genes. In other words, if we have dna that is all genes the chances that the pol will make a mutation in a gene is 1:1, whereas, and as we know, in humans, eg, it will be 1:5; since, 1/5 of the human genome are genes.? could this be another advantage to have introns. more protection against gene mutations.?
