well, since x^2 mean x, times x .... which ones would you say fit a solution?

if you see this as a difference of squares there is another method to approach it, but i find it a bit more labor intensive

you want to get x by itself. so what ever you do on the left side to get x alone you do the same thing on the right side to 49. i love doing equations but i also have a hard time understanding math.
