I have a box weighing 20N pulled across a surface with no friction acting upon it only a natural force and the gravity force and a force east at 30degrees from the x axis of 50N how do i find the acceleration of the box

OpenStudy (gebooors):

Share force to vertical and horizontal component. Vertical component is lifting the box, Horizontal is accelerating force.

First draw a nice Force diagram!

Then Try to find the net external force in horizontal and vertical components separately! Then use Newton's law: Ma = F(ext) Where F(ext) is the net external force!
