So i got a triangle, has a side of 8 as the up and down, and the base is 6. It's the opposite of a right triangle. Please help me find the missing side.

If this is what you mean, then you would use this formula: ( each of the legs squared and added equal to the hypotenuse. The hypotenuse is the one that is slanted. so 6squared plus 8 squared = x squared. (6x6) + (8x8)=x sq 36 + 64= x sq 100=x sq 10=x because (10 x 10 =100) The missing side is 10.
