\(\Huge\color{red}{ \sf Sin^{-1} (0.3) =? }\)
First, calculator gives: 0.3 = sin 17.46 deg Then, sin x = 0.3 = sin 17.46 -> x = 17.46 deg On the trig unit circle, there is another arc (angle) that has the same sin value (0.3). So, we have another answer. sin x = 0.3 = sin (180 - 17.46) = sin (162. 54) -> x = 162.54|dw:1396369999361:dw| deg
