why is amine used in preparation of acetaminophen to remove impurities?

what do you mean amine? as in ammonia? Also, do you know what the impurities are?

I think acetaminophen is prepered from Formic acid and para-amino phenol. I think Amine is water soluble and it removes residues of Formic acid, It does not react with phenol group of the product
