column 1 is your number, column 2 is your number after the equation. So in your particular case, you are multiplying column 1 by 1.25 to get the number in column 2. ex: 1x1.25=1.25.... 2x1.25=2.50.... 3x1.25=3.75.. now here theyre asking for 7. so just multiply 7 by 1.25, which gives you 8.75, which is your answer (:
