Explain how to find the volume of the rectangular prism shown. Then find the volume. Each cube is one cubic meter. A figure is formed by stacking cubes that measure one meter on each side. The figure consists of three layers of four rows of four cubes.

Volume of a rectangular prism = width*height*length 3*4*4=48 m^3
"Four rows of four cubes" means the same as 4x4 dimensions (=16). Since there are three layers, you multiply 16*3=48. Answer= 48m^3
The volume of a prism is the area of the base multiplied by the height.
