I have a question for an ambassador.
I understand the roles of an Ambassador and ive applied but why are there Ambassadors?
Im just wondering like why not have a lot of Mods?
Hi, Ambassadors are representatives of OpenStudy. We answer questions from new users. We welcome and greet users. It's our job to be the embodiment of OpenStudy's ideologies. Before I go any further, there are strict requirements you must meet. You can contact @e.mccormick , @thomaster , @blues or @bostonblue for additional Ambassador opportunities. \(\bf\Large\color{#00B4ff}{Open}\color{#7cc517}{Study}\color{}{}\color{#872af0}{~~Ⓐ}\color{#478903}{}\)
Lada la dee le da.... You get the idea (:
So its just to make sure that the other openstudy users dont get offended that only mods are able to help and be noticed right.
Cause I applied to be an Ambassador and the main reasons were I love to help people and also love to teach people not to search for the answer but instead work for it
Are those good reasons?
Yes! ~ Many Ambassadors help out of the kindness of their hearts!
I'm the chair for the present Ambassador program, which basically means all the management group stuff goes through me at the moment. Moderation includes dealing with the more negative aspects of abuse of the site. While Ambassadors do get exposed to that, their main goals are: Lead by example Welcome and help people Spread the word about OS We have a specific culture here and one of the overriding goals of it is to be nice. One way to promote that is to have a core group of users that people can look to. That is what we mean by lead by example. The rest should be self evident. We select Ambassadors in groups. Part of why we do this is because they are now being trained in those same groups. It will be a while before we select the next group, but as long as you keep up the positive attitude, there is a better chance you will be selected.
