What are the sine, cosine, and tangent of 3pi/4 radians? I know that sine is sqrt of 2 over 2 and the cosine sqrt of -2 over 2, but I'm trying to figure out if the tangent is -1 or 1...

Since sin x is positive and cos x negative, the arc (angle) x is between Pi/2 ans Pi (Pi/2 < x < Pi; or first quadrant). In this situation, tan x is negative (tan x = -1).
