OpenStudy (danielbarriosr1):

Can someone please explain me about the Zero-Product property

OpenStudy (danielbarriosr1):

With this equation: \[a^2+8a+12=0\]

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

when you factor the left side you get (a+6)(a+2)=0 when you multiply the 2 factors, one of the two must be 0 for the answer to equal zero then you set a+6=0 and a+2=0 and solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What the Zero-Property means is that if we have any 2 things that multiply to give 0, then one of those things must be 0
