does any of the factors that make up 42 equal the sum of 15?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

List the factors of 42 you know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1,2,3,6,7,14,21,42

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah. Do any two of those add up to 15?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope ! its just that i can't factor the trinomial as the product of two binomials if I don't know if any of the the factors of 42 equal 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is your question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Factor the trinomial completely. Remember to factor out a GCF first. Show your work for full credit. basically
