Brandon received a book for his birthday and read thirty-six pages in 2 hours. Later, he read fifty-four pages in 3 hours. Does his reading follow a direct variation? Explain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In two hours he reads 36 pages, thats 36/2 -> 18 pg for an hour In 3 hours, he adds another 18 (36+18 =54) So, there is a direct variation, which is the 18.
