*Will medal and fan!* Which of the following does not describe the results of the slave trade in the Americas? A. Slaves sent to the Caribbean and South America did not live long because of the harsh climate, diseases, and terrible living conditions. B. Slavery soon became less important in the Americas and most slaves were freed. C. In North America, life expectancy for slaves was longer than elsewhere in the Americas. D. The slave population in North America grew because many of the slaves were women who had children who also became slaves.
I would have to say B, this is because while slave trade was going on the "need" (want) of slaves did not go down but up.
Ok thanks
no problem
I disagree. It says in my history book that "When the Americans won their independence, only northern states passed laws to abolish slavery" And it says in B that "Slavery soon became LESS (notice it says less not unimportant, so it still means that slavery was going just not in some parts) important in the Americas and most slaves were freed.
I would say D because it said that in the northern part of America slavery was abolished. So technically it didn't grow.
