How is this energy transferred from the sun to the Earth?

well the energy is not transferred to the earth directly, otherwise we would all die lol. We get a part of the energy from the sun, but most is reflected back into space from the atmosphere. in terms of like energy in how we function through food and metabolism is a long process.
