What's a good personification for moves up and down

Because I do not know what you are writing about I can give you some simple examples of personification:

The pages of the old book danced in the wind.
The fingers of the pianist leaped from key to key.
The music floated through the air.

As for moves up and down... you could say it jumped up and down, really there are endless possibilities. (Just remember that a personification is just giving human characteristics to non-living things or ideas.) Try coming up with some of your own! It's fun! :) Good luck and happy writing.

I agree with Vibia on this one, it'd be easier to help you if you would at least give us the object in which needs to be personified.
