Hey guys, I would like to start coding but I don't know where to start since my school does not offer Computer Science classes Can someone help me to get started? I want to learn up to Java and possibly a little more. Thankyou :)

http://www.java-made-easy.com/ is a great starting place for Java! It'll show you where to get Eclipse to edit and run your code easily. I like Eclipse. It is an "environment" to develop your code in, with all sorts of good built-in tools for generating and testing your code. It is thus called an integrated development environment (IDE) if I remember correctly.

My college starts us with Java and then we generalize from it to other languages. Python is another great starting language.

I've heard about python as well, thanks I will definitely check it out! Thanks!

You're welcome! Good luck! Hopefully OpenStudy can help.

I'm looking at the topics on java-made-easy.com. They look pretty good! If you teach yourself, have fun with it! Set small goals that you might be able to accomplish with what you know! The first few things are nearly useless alone. But every little bit lets you do more and more.
