I need helping... I'm doing the Pythagorean Theorem and here is what I have so far... 2b+2^2 +b^2 =13^2

Thank you though. Can I know the steps you took to solve it?
subtract 2 squared from both sides so 13 squared is now 11 squared. then divide by 2 so it is 121/2 then square root both sides then b+b=2b so divide by 2 again and b=8.6
