A square is inscribed in a circle. A point in the figure is selected at random. Find the probability that the point will be in the shaded region.
This is an interesting problem, the goal is to find the area of the circle and the area of the square, there are many ways to do it depending on how much geometry you know.
but what are the measurements? unless the circle is a unit circle
There's infinite ways to inscribe a rectangle, but the square has 4 equal sides.
so are there no measurements?
these are the possible answers it gave me about 75% about 65% about 90% about 50%
its kind of a bull question the only way to do it is to guess
I'm just gonna go ahead and label a few things in it which should make it clear :)|dw:1396580156891:dw|
