i think this could be the answer..
2/5 ( x - 2 ) = 4x
0.4 ( x - 2 ) = 4x
0.4x - 0.8 = 4x
-0.8 = 4x - 0.4 >> -0.4+4
-0.8 = 3.6x
-0.8 / 3.6 = 3.6x / 3.6
-0.22 = x >> OR >> x = - 2/9

2/5x - 4/5 = 4x --- multiply by 5
2x - 4 = 20x
-4 = 20x - 2x
-4 = 18x
-4/18 = x
-2/9 = x
