I have to write an essay on (why) "The national minimum wage should be increased" and I came up with some ideas already in my outline, but I'm trying to think of a few reasons why employers would want to raise minimum wage. Does anyone have a few ideas on "why employers would want to raise minimum wage?" Also note, this is for a persuasive/argument paper. Not sure if this is the right subject area for this question, but if anyone has any ideas, thanks in advance.

maybe some inspiration would come from an eye opening film Morgan Spurlock creator of "super size me" filmed  "'30 days' minimum wage" its basically him  and his fiancée Alex try to survive 30 days on minimum wage. (you could also use a lot of the information/real life examples given to build upon through your essay) They definitely go through a lot of hardships and the examples are very clear to use throughout your paper.
