Competitive exclusion

OpenStudy (alif):

Competitive exclusion principle, also referred to as Gause's Law of competitive exclusion or just Gause's Law. Its the principle that states that two species which compete for the same resources in same community cannot coexist. Therefore they cannot have the same job in a community. In most cases one species will have an advantage over the other which will lead to the moving away or extinction of the other species from that community.
