Arrange the following polynomial into descending order and identify the 3rd term. 18x + 2x3 - 3x2 + 10 a. 18x b. 2x3 c. -3x2 d. 10

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

So when they say "order" here they mean in terms of exponents.. (degrees) It would go x^3 + x^2 + x + 0 for example...so here 2x^3 - 3x^2 + 18x + 10 what is the 3rd term?

18x?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Correct :)
