line 4 it should be : 6(x + 2) = 24 6x + 12 = 24 6x = 12 x = 12/6 x = 2

What is the correct solution to the equation? 4(x-3)=16
4(x - 3) = 16 --- distribute through the parenthesis 4x - 12 = 16 --- add 12 to both sides 4x = 16 + 12 4x = 28 --- divide both sides by 4 x = 28/4 x = 7
