The terminal phosphate bond. This bond is hydrolyzed to release energy.
ATP = adenosine triphosphate. So 3 phosphate groups. Let's call the adenosine part A. |dw:1396656580901:dw| Hydrolyzed means we add water, so H2O 1 OH is used to fix the gap in the last phosphate group that is separated from the molecule. The remaining H+ is not used. So we get: |dw:1396656308679:dw|
