solve the following problem: 6 over radical 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 6 }{ \sqrt{8} }\]

OpenStudy (ranga):

Multiply top and bottom by radical 8 and simplify. The reason for doing that is to get rid of the radical in the denominator. It is a convention NOT to have any radicals in the denominator.
