PLEASE HELP! THIS IS AN EMERGENCY. What is the most likely explanation for why the Shang had little interaction with non-Chinese cultures? They were unable to travel upon the Yellow River. They were surrounded by higher plains and mountains to the north and west. They were not aware of the other cultures existing nearby. They were unable to use the seas to establish trade with others due to lack of technology.

How did the Huang River civilization develop differently from other river valley civilizations? Its trade with India brought it goods as well as new ideas. Its mining industry allowed it to create iron weapons and tools. Its location limited its contact with other advanced cultures. Its armies helped it expand through conquest.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What, in addition to geographic boundaries, might have kept the people of the Huang River civilization from traveling to far-distant regions? They feared that their bronze weapons would be no match for the iron weapons of ancient Egypt. They could get everything locally that they needed to survive and grow. They had learned about the other river valley civilizations but feared contact would bring invasion.

How did the use of bronze give Shang warriors an advantage over enemies who did not use bronze? Bronze armor offered greater protection than leather in battle. Bronze containers could hold more arrows than cloth ones. The process of bronze making allowed weapons to be produced faster. Bronze cannons could destroy stone palaces.
