Describe what happens once the Arabidopsis seed emerges into the light?

OpenStudy (koikkara):

@studygeek15 Once the Arabidopsis seeds germinate in the light the root has emerged & anchors the plant & shoot begins to grow. As the shoot is exposed to the light, the plant undergoes the process called photomorphogenesis & starts to make chlorophyll & turn green. The cotyledons & apical hook unfold & the cotyledons expand and turn green. Wondering If you are satisfied with this answer, Please Click "Best Response" and close this Question. Thank You !
