Someone please help, even though this is math! How do elements with heavier nuclei form from lighter elements in the stars? Why does this process occur naturally in stars but not on Earth

You need tremendous amount of pressure and very high temperatures to initiate nuclear fusion. This occurs naturally in stars but not naturally on earth because the earth is not big enough to create those conditions at its core.
