The perimeter of a rectangle is 96 ft. The ratio of the length to the width is 7: 5. What are the dimensions of the rectangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answers would be. A. 30 ft by 15 ft B. 26 ft by 19 ft C. 24 ft by 21 ft D. 20 ft by 25 ft

@kenzy a direct answer would be nice :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you add the two number 5+7 that is 12 and then multiply it by 2 which is 24 that is the ratio of the totals 94:24, it comes down to a scale factor of 4. Then you multiply 7 by 4 which is 28, and 5 by 4 which is 20. to check you take the answers and make sure. (20x2)+(28x2)= 96

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the 2 width is 20 and the length is 28
