Vf^2 = Vi^2 + 2ad, to solve for d, the equation becomes Vf^2 - Vi^2 / 2a = d. If the initial velocity is 0m/s, the final velocity is 0.75m/s, and the acceleration is 9.81m/s^2, is it normal to get a distance that is not even a whole number? It just doesn't seem right, because I'm pretty sure that the distance from the top of my stairs to the bottom is not 0.028 meters..
