What does your textbook say? That question looks kind of broad to me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The debate over environmental laws is caught between maintaining the economy and sustaining the health of ecosystems. One debate is over forestry and the wood products. Tree's are important for both rural and urban ecosystems. Trees also have economic value as a raw material used in producing paper, buildings, furniture, and other wood products. On the other hand, trees are much needed for maintaining desirable microclimates and to shelter wildlife. Another debate is over agricultural land. When it comes to sustaining the health of ecosystems, they want to preserve this land. On the other hand, they encourage sustainable agriculture practices and support local food producers. They facilitate the production and distribution of locally produced food. They do this in order to maintain the economy.
