If I am looking at the the critical region for a two tailed distribution and the critical t values are plus or minus 1.729, is the t statistic -3.35 in the critical region since it is below -1.729?

In this particular problem, if the t statistic is greater than 1.729, or less than -1.729, we regard it to be in the "critical region."  With this information in mind, what is your conclusion?

that is what i thought initially i was not sure if the critical region was BETWEEN the tails
