The question is find the volume of each composite space figure...picture will be below
did you try to to it or you don't know how ?
don't know how to even start doing it
do you know how to calculate the volume of a rectangular prism ?
no I don't think so...is it just a equation?>
|dw:1396801120020:dw| volume = length x width x height
so how would I plug in that weird shape to that?
you have to break it into rectangular prism calculate the volume of each, and then add them up
you have to break it into rectangular prismS
I missed the s lol
|dw:1396801272404:dw|
the length for the two parts is the same, 12 ft
okay thanks! then do I just add the two together?
yeah you calculate the volume of each and add them tell me what you get to check if you are doing it right
I got 2016 ft
correct answer
thanks so much for your help! will probably be posting more haha
glad to help :) you can tag me if i'm still online and i'll try to help you
okay! well already have another question lol. on number two on that picture how do you get the 3rd number on the smaller prism? like I have 10 and 5 but whats the other one that you times by to get the volume?
as you can see, the width of the whole shape is the same if we take the lower part, what is its width ?
9
correct so 9 is also the width of the upper part
thanks!
any time :)
