Televisions are sold by size based on the length of the diagonal. If the length of a television is 30 inches and it's diagonal is 36 inches , what is the size of a similar television that has a length of 50 inches

OpenStudy (paki):

as the question is of similarity ratio... so we will have here... 30 : 36 => simplify it, we will obtain... 1 : 1.2 50 : x solve for "x"... x : (50*1.2) = 60 inches diagonally

Thanks

OpenStudy (paki):
