Solve by simplifying the problem. There are 18 students in Mr. Alvarez’s art class. Throughout the year, every student must pair up with every other student to complete a project. How many projects will be finished?

if every student has to make one project with all the other students. there will be 17 projects that need to be done for each student. For every project, there will be 9 pairs of students. So 17 projects x 9 pairs = 153 project will be finished...
