how do you find the range and mean of a set of numbers?
To find the range, subtract the smallest data point from the largest one. To find the mean, find the average since the mean is the average.
find the average?
Yes.
how do you find the average?
Let's say you have 5 test scores and they are: 90, 80, 75, 95, and 70 What is your average score?
80?
You have to add up all 5 of the scores and divide it by 5 So basically to find the average/mean you have to add up the data then divide the sum by the number of data you divided
How did you find that?
EXAMPLE What is the Mean of these numbers? 6, 11, 7 Add the numbers: 6 + 11 + 7 = 24 Divide by how many numbers (there are 3 numbers): 24 / 3 = 8 The Mean is 8
idk why he didn't just tell me to do to that smh.
Haha i dont know .. is that going to be it?
the median is putting the numbers in order and picking the middle one? and the mode is picking the number that is repeated?
That is correct.
i forgot what to do if you have 2 modes?
You keep both of them.
Do you mean 2 medians? If that is the case you find their mean (Add the numbers, then divide by how many numbers there are in this case 2)
yeah that's what i meant lol sorry. thanks.
