Identify the solutions of the system of equations, if any. x+2y=4, and 9x-4y=3
I'd suggest that you choose the method of solution that is most comfortable for and familiar to you: substitution, elimination by addition/subtraction, or graphing. What have you done before when asked to find the solution(s) of systems of linear equations, such as this one?
This is my first time having to solve them
If only you'll ask some leading question, find an example from your textbook or online materials, or something that actively involves you, I'd be happy to help you get started. Hint: A truly simple example follows: Solve: x-y=5 x+y=9 --- -- 2x = 14 x = 7 illustrates solution of a system of linear equations by addition/subtraction. Your homework problem is more challenging because you don't have "nice" coefficients which cooperatively cancel. this means you'll need to manipulate one or both equations so that you can then eliminate one variable by addition/subtraction.
