A man has a paint formula calling for a mixture of paints A, B, C and D to make paint B. The ratio is 60% A, 25% B, 10% C and 5% D. If he needs 20 gallons of paint, how many gallons of paint A will he need?

60% Paint A means out of every 100 gallons of the paint mixture, 60 gallons will be paint A. So in a 20 Gallon mixture, how many gallons will there be of Paint A?

12 60% of 10 is 6 so 20 is 12
