difference between ft,z transform,laplace transform

The Laplace transform converts a differential equation into an algebraic equation and has the added advantage of incorporating the boundary conditions from the beginning. In situations where functions have discontinuities the Laplace method can be used. The Laplace transform deals with continuous functions whereas the Z transform deals with discrete functions, sequences, and the associated difference equations or recurrence relations. The Fourier transform converts time dependent functions between the time domain and the frequency domain.
