You are completely correct...I labeled the quadrants to make sure you knew the order...

So in quadrant 1   we have a coordinate (x , y)   they both have a positive sign right? (also known as they are both positive numbers

In quadrant 3 we have coordinate (-x , -y)   they both have a negative sign (also known as they are both negative numbers
