I want to point out that these two revolutions have a lot of similarities. ;) -Both the American Revolution and the French Revolution were born of dire economic conditions. -Both had goals of independence -Both revolutions spurred a strong response from the other nation. -Both revolutions produced similar and seminal political documents. If you want to go more in depth into these similarities, go here: http://westerncivguides.umwblogs.org/2012/04/16/similarities-between-the-american-and-french-revolutions/comment-page-1/ Now, the main difference between the American and French Revolution was that the French Revolution was against a monarchy at home. Another difference between the two is that the American Revolution was against an imperial monarchy. Lastly, the French Revolution was conducted in France whereas the American Revolution was conducted in America.
