Because condensation (gas phase to liquid phase) is an exothermic process, which means it releases heat energy.
It releases energy because the molecules become more strongly attracted to each other and move less rapidly, thus at a lower temperature.
Going from a Gas (higher energy stage) to a liquid (lower energy) released heat, and that heat or energy is released into the environment. This type of reaction like other had stated is an Exothermic.
