I'd say (D), Soviet expansionist plans. Containment means exactly what it sounds like - contain. The fear was that communism would spread to neighboring nations and the US adopted this to contain the spread like a giant paper towel of democracy. The others don't make much sense. The Hiroshima bombing wasn't a cause, and the Marshall Plan focused on rebuilding Europe. The Berlin Blockade was a symptom of the deteriorating relationship between East and West (and was Stalin's way of rattling his own saber) and the Soviets were a part of the UN since it was an open forum for all nations.
