Help with optimization please :(
It is a question regarding maximizing volume for a box when small equal squares are removed from each corner

Okay the question is... Suppose you want to make an open-topped box out of a 4x6 index card by cutting a square out of each corner and then folding up the edges. How large a square should you cut out of each corner in order to maximize the volume of the resulting box?
I tried out a method to solve it but it really didn't work :( I don't know what to do with it
