He developed what he called a canon, which is basically the proportions for the ideal human. Both his sculptures and his artistic theories have influenced artists like Albrecht Dürer in his etchings (particularly The Fall of Man) and one statue in particular of Augustus (based off of Praxiteles' Doryphoros)
