My drawing is not that great but that's the normal curve. So you want the point at which 23% of the curve is above that point. Could you draw a line where you think that is?

Well  obviously 100% of the area is the whole curve, so 23% is about 1/4 of the total area, right? @vwood

so that shaded area is about 1/4 of the whole area of the curve - are you following?
