welcome we are here to hepl :) lol dont be shy ;) latte rgood luck hun

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

to be precise...translation ie the process of synthesis of proteins takes place in the cytoplasm.....the new formed protein immediately enters the ER and den it is modified in there..

OpenStudy (aaronq):

hm both happen. Those that need to be further modified in the ER are translated straight into it, the ribosome docks on the membrane (at a specific site). But they can also be synthesized in the cytoplasm then imported into the ER, though it doesn't always need to.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

ps they are NOT synthesized inside the ER
