spermatogenesis takes place in the testes, the epididymis (the coiled structure on top of the testes) receives the immature sperm and stores it for several days, when ejaculation occurs the sperm is expelled from the tail of the epididymis into the ductus deferens and up the spermatic chord into the pelvic cavity over the ureter into the prostate behind the bladder. here is the vas deferens joins with the seminole vesicle to form the ejaculatory duct which passes throughout the prostate and empties to the urethra.
