Musa: again I find myself wishing that you would ask questions about each problem and show what work you have already done towards solving each problem. Why just copy and paste in the hope that someone else will do your work for you? :( In this latest posting: \[|3x|\le21, \] I see that 3 is a factor of both sides of this inequality. Would you please divide both sides of your equation by 3. There's more work involved; you may have to re-write this inequality to get one that matches one of the several given possible answers.
i did divide this i got x≥7∪x≤−7
Warren, it says it's greater than or equal to xD
b or c but i don't know the answer if i am correct
As @tHe_FiZiCx99 has pointed out, I misread the problem and had the inequality symbol pointing in the wrong direction. Were we focused on \[|3x|\le21,\] and were we to divide both sides by 3, we'd get:\[|x|\le7\] and because of the absolute value sign, this translates into two separate inequalities: \[x \le 7 ~ and ~ (-x) \le 7.\]
On the other hand, if we have \[|3x|\ge21,\] we can still simplify by dividing both sides by 3. Using the same approach as above, solve the resulting absolute value inequality for x. Your solution must be made up of two separate parts.
i know how to get the answer i just don't know the answer when graphing.idk what am i supposed to do there
Which inequality would you like to graph?
x≤7
